Enjoying Simple Things

Today I saw the sidewalk was covered in leaves and I just had to take a moment to go play with my daughter before the leaf blowers came and blew away the beauty.

She loved it so much, she asked me to take a drive and look for more leaves.  Hopefully we can do that tomorrow.  It's true that some of the best things in life are free and many of our kids' favorite memories will involve something similar like taking a walk, building a snowman, or wading in the water.  I remember going for walks with my mom and playing the same game her father taught her.  You carry some small rocks and throw them as close to the lines in the sidewalk as you can.  Whoever is closest picks up all the rocks and it continues until someone is out of rocks.

What are some of your favorite memories that didn't cost a thing?
