Making Memories

Life is full of unexpected events and it seems that the older we get, the faster time flies. Making and preserving memories along life's journey is really important. One of the best ways to do this is to take pictures. Some important reasons to take pictures that I came up with are as follows:

  • To preserve memories: As much as we tell ourselves that we will never forgot a significant experience, the fact remains that memories fade and taking pictures can help us remember events, people and so forth
  • It creates a visual history for future generations: Personally, I know that looking at my parent's photo albums of when they were growing up is one of the neatest things I get to do. Future generations can gain a better understanding and connection to their ancestors when they have pictures that they can look at
  • They can provide accurate reminders: When we are fuzzy on details pictures can help our recall of different events, places, people, etc.
  • They can help us see how far we've come: Taking pictures of our children as they grow up is wonderful because it helps us all see just how far our children and family as a whole as come over the years
These are just a few reasons that I could come up with for taking pictures and creating memories. What are some other reasons that you can think of? Do you agree that taking pictures is important?
