4 Things to Rememember when Parenting Infants

Parenting responsibilities are greatest during the time of infancy. Infants are 100% dependent upon their caregivers for support. This can be a scary thing for a new parent. Here are some things to remember:

1. Every day 11,000 babies are born in the United States--there are a lot of parents facing the same challenges and joys that come from parenting, you are not alone.
2. In general, it is an infants natural desire to want to attach to their caregiver
3. Infants are demanding; however, they are also fun to watch, talk to and play with--they don't know how to be deceiving or malicious
4. Most importantly, we should remember the power of the Spirit of God. As parents, we will face many challenges but the greatest tool we have in our parenting tool box is the gift of the Holy Ghost and the right to revelation in raising our children.
